Throw a pot with your fingers: centre the clay, open it, pull the wall up and shape it. The clay behaves like clay: push it too far and it folds. Dip the piece in one of six classical glazes, or leave the clay bare; fire it, and see what the kiln has made of it. Throw freely, or copy twelve classic forms with each stroke shown.
